ABOUT ME
As a rising junior at St. George’s School in Vancouver, I have conducted two years of independent chemistry research on advanced materials for water-pollution remediation. Under the mentorship of Professor Jie Song at the University of Michigan-Flint, I published an original paper on graphene oxide immobilization in the peer-reviewed journal
"Strength of Materials."
My passion for science led me to launch an initiative addressing the effects of water pollution on Indigenous communities in False Creek. I distributed water-testing toolkits and educational pamphlets, built a digital platform for water monitoring and information sharing, and led a petition urging the Canadian government to strengthen enforcement of anti-pollution policies. I also produced, directed, and wrote the documentary “Sufferance of Indigenous Communities Brought Forth by Water Contamination."
In addition to filmmaking, I have trained in traditional kung fu since age four. I adapt martial arts into low-impact workouts for older adults through "Kung Fu with Aaron", which had reached 28 episodes by August 2026. I teach these sessions twice monthly at local community hubs and share each lesson on YouTube.
